About:

Douglas has been scoring film and television for almost his entire life, never having the "real job" He has always known as a young child what he wanted to do. He has never lost sight of this. This ideal continues thru his collaborations today.

People who know Douglas realized very early when working or talking with him that anything is possible,
both personally and creatively. "I love surrounding myself with creative people. It encourages all to perform
and exceed their best, independently and most importantly collectively"
.

Douglas's studio is located in a renovated colonial mansion built circa 1840 by James Southgate as his summer
house. Unfortunately, he never lived in it for his untimely death of being hit in the head by a falling brick. "Ouch!"
The studio utilizes many of these large spacious rooms and is equipped with all the latest and technological
advances to accommodate any kind of production. One suite, being a very inspirational multi-channel tracking
room, has many flavors. Another includes a fiber-linked projected screening room and is more comfortable than
any theater. (Plus the food is always better!)

Douglas, an avid baker who loves to share his creations with clients and colleagues, has found that scoring music
to picture is much like baking. It takes many parts or elements to comprise the final result, and one
must pay attention to every step to finish correctly and timely. A menu exists that is part of the creative
process because it is firmly believed that in order to create great, you must eat great.

Specialties include homemadehand-tossed pizza and cal-zones, breads, soups, pastries and many more culinary delectables. The kitchen was renovated to perform like a restaurant so that one could easily and collaboratively cook for many.

Douglas married to Vicky, his storybook high school sweetheart for 12 years, and new father of 4 year old Aidan
who has already an incredible appetite for creating, drawing, painting and sound gathering. One of Douglas's
favorite comments is "Dad that was a great sound! Grab the recorder!" Aidan can also name almost any peice of
music's film origin. It brings a smile to his face every time!
